Guiding Principles

Politics is concerned with developing of knowledge and understanding amongst a group of people. It is the interaction of people, ideas and institutions and working to obtain a common objective.  Thus the utilization of all these factors are our political principles. Hence we would focus on maintaining justice and order and corporative engagement in solving political issues.

Outlined below are the guiding principles Gaumee Itthihaad will follow in its political activities:
•    Maintaining transparency in all activities

1. The electives for the senior posts to declare their assets under the regulations, as a measure to curb corruption
   
2. The assets and the financial dispersions of the party to be accessible to all the members of the party
   
3.  All members to be informed of activities conducted by the party

• To follow Islam, respect values and traditions, obey laws of the nation and encourage others to do the same
  
• To respect justice, peace and harmony and strive to maintain it
  
• Encourage constructive criticism
  
• To plan and conduct all activities in accordance with views of members
  
• To be willing to face challenges for the benefit of the society
  
• To economize all party activities
  
• To take part in activities conducted by other political parties in accordance to the regulations and principles of this party

1.    Building capacity of local organizations to engage in politics and change.

I.    Form alliances with local clubs and community development organizations
II.    Provide assistance for community awareness raising and political mobilization

2.    Political mobilization for positive change

I.    Public meetings, in a closed setting with focused discussion
II.    Peaceful rallies and open forums for political speeches and cultural activities for or against an issue

3.    Promote free and fair elections and participate in elections

I.    Identification and support for capable candidates
II.    Support for implementation of professional responsibilities of elected officials

4.    Promote equal participation in politics of men and women and rural and urban
