about us

Our Priorities

We will give precedence to achieve the following objectives. To achieve the desired outcome, we plan to conduct research on specific issues, formulate policies and increase public awareness on current policies through public speeches, debates and meetings. We also would be seeking directed dialogue with all concerned authorities including the government. We intend to strengthen our views by competing and winning public seats.

  • To develop Maldives as a democratic nation: This include promoting a multi-party election that is independent and fair; to possibly restructure the constitution, rules and regulation to ensure an independent judicial system; establishing those resolute and independent institutions deemed necessary for a democracy; public awareness on democratic governance and freedom of speech; construction of platforms and opening up avenues for political participation and dialogue; creation of a proficient, even-handed and a speedy judicial system when used efficiently will reduce crimes in the communities and subsequently offer successful rehabilitation for those convicted.

  • To increase economic wellbeing of the people and create a secure environment: This include providing better basic and social services; resettlement of communities to facilitate development and economic growth; creating economic activities and opportunities for entrepreneurs in the atolls; fair distribution of economic wealth; to provide for and dignify the disabled.

  • To develop human resources. This include the revision of the curricula and bringing applicable changes to the teaching and schooling system to provide knowledge, skills, attitude, discipline, work ethic and democratic values and thus children exiting this educational system will be physically and mentally equipped to successfully contribute and participate in the fast developing Maldivian society; increasing participation of the private sector in the education system, empowering and educating guardians on parenting, rearing and upbringing of children under their care; broaden youth involvement and contribution in important development projects and organizing various youth development programs.

  • To provide better health services: This include ensuring affordable, easily accessible, efficient and quality health services, to reduce the number of people receiving medical treatment overseas by ensuring equally reliable health services in the country, providing free health care services to those with special needs and financially challenged.
