Gaumee Itthihaad believes that education is pivotal in realizing our vision for the Maldives. It refines peoples’ sensitivities and perceptions that contribute to national cohesion, a scientific temper and independence of mind and spirit. It facilitates social, economic and political development of the country.
Our education policy aims to provide a quality life long education to maximize the potentials of every individual for a successful living and effectively contributing to social development. The life long education processes need to start at the earliest possible age of a child and continue throughout his/her lifetime.
Gaumee Itthihaad will endeavour to bring about the necessary changes to the curricular and the educational system in order to make education worthwhile and meaningful to the individual and the society in the 21st century. It will ensure that education is provided in the best possible environment and in the most effective and efficient manner. Gaumee Itthihaad will also work towards bringing about required changes to the social, business and administrative institutions of the country to create appropriate opportunities for people continuing their education.
