Enviroment

The party considers environment as one of the prime pillars on which development, progress, prosperity and security of the country is based on. The party will ensure that while protecting the unique environment, the Maldives can further benefit from the natural resources and contribution to knowledge through research and international cooperation in the area of environment.
Hence, the party will do its utmost to protect, preserve and where possible restore the natural environment. The Party will also formulate appropriate policies to maximize and sustain the economic benefits from the natural resources within the environment.

The party believes that priority should be given to strengthening research and capacity building for effective management and good governance in the area of environment. The Party believes in “greening” policies on energy, water and sanitation and other related services and promoting a more environment‐friendly life style.
