Family Policy

The family policy of Gaumee Itthihaad will be based on the belief that the strength of a nation is the strength of its individual families. Families need to live together and grow into strong units of our society. Children require their fathers and mothers to be with them in order to provide them love, care and comfort they require for their physical, mental and emotional growth and to acquire the best of values traditions of our society. This party, therefore, will give a high degree of importance on individual families. The socioeconomic activities will be appropriately decentralized in order to keep families on their islands and atolls. Basic services will be provided to the communities keeping the ‘family’ in mind. Facilities for providing family and child counseling and parenting skills to newly married couples will be established.
