The following are additional policies put forward by Gaumee Itthihaad:

• Equality for All including women and youth
  Advocate democracy through empowering the people at grassroots level. Elected Commissions in every atoll to oversee education, policing, local taxation, administration of justice etc. (Local Government).

• A viable taxation system introduced
  
• Greater redistribution of wealth through opportunities for participation in investment for all.
  
• Future plans for mitigating the effects of global warming and climate change, contingency plans for evacuation, resettlement, emergency relief and rehabilitation.
  
• Enforce transparency in government as part of good governance through mandatory declaration of personal wealth and property for all senior civil servants and political office bearers.
  
• Propose a sound system for improving the national system of transportation and communication including postal systems.
  
• Sustainable energy policy: Use of solar and wind energy for power generation, use of hybrid vehicles and energy efficient vessels.
